2010 Cookeville Crit Race Flyer

Check us out on Facebook for updates as well.

June 24, 2010 - Get ready for a great day of racing in Cookeville.

We will be having a bake sale with all proceeds going to benefit Hands On Nashville in their flood relief.  Nashville is still digging out from the worst flooding in a century.  Bring your sweet tooth.

We will also have a local concessions vendor set up selling sodas, ice cream, hot dogs and chips, and real fruit smoothies.

Don’t forget, online registration closes Friday at 7pm.  We will have race day registration but it always helps to get that out of the way before you come to town.

Looking forward to seeing you all!

June 6, 2010 - You can now view the flyer and the BikeReg page. So get those entries in. Don't forget, we are fortunate to be part of a $10,000 weekend!!! The Avery Trace Road Race and individual Time Trial take place on Saturday.

Please note the following for the weekend of June 26th and 27.

Hampton Inn (931-520-1117 is offering a special rate for racers at the Avery Trace Classic and the Cookeville Criterium - $79/night. Don't forget to tell them that you are a participant.

Cookeville has a Concert in the Park that occurs every Sunday at 2pm from June 6 thru the summer. It's right down the street from the race course, it's free, and it's shady. The bluegrass band Gold Heart will play on the 27th.

On the 26th, the Tennessee Central Express will be hosting the Atlanta Cannibles in a semi-pro football game. Go here for details.

We're planning on having a bake sale too, at the crit. Get ready for some locally made goodies.

May 28, 2010 - Wow, lots going on here in the last few weeks. A few biggies. The payout is nailed down. $3,400 making this a $10,000 weekend!!! We are very proud to announce this and worked our sponsors and Avery Trace Organizers to make this happen. The goal is to have a bigger, better event!!

The new flyer is also uploaded as you can see above.

We are working on getting a local hotel nailed down for discounted rates.

More to come soon. With details on local events Saturday night AND Sunday afternoon.

May 12, 2010 - Good evening. Just getting the site updated. We really should do this more often. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on the 27th of June for the Cookeville Criterium. This year we will have a $3400$3000 payout and hope to do some new things with the race. Working out the details now, but we hope for the return of the kid's race!!!! Stay tuned. This site may change some in the coming weeks. You can see the 2009 flyer above. I will get the new flyer up soon.

Also, please don't forget that the Cookeville Criterium is only one of THREE races going on during the weekend. The Avery Trace Cycling Classic takes place right up the road in Gainesboro and there is a ITT in the afternoon on Saturday. The Avery Trace website is here... http://www.averytracesports.com/.

The course will be the same as last year. This seems to be a rider favorite, with long straights followed by tight corners.

See everyone soon. And check back for updates.
